Uh-Merican

I wonder about the "American" group shown on this map (light yellow). Every American's ancestry, with a couple of exceptions, can be traced back to somewhere else. There should be no "American" group but its there. I wonder why?

Either the people in these areas don't know where their ancestors are from or don't care. I guess either is possible, people have lived in this area for generations and probably do see themselves as "Americans" but this would apply to the many other areas as well so it's not really a good answer. In reality we are all "American", only the people in these areas said their ancestors were "American"?

But,..... this "American" area corresponds roughly with the hard-core Fox-News, Sarah Palin, Red-State voter. could it be that when they "checked" the "ancestory-box" they thought to themselves, "Damn-it, I'm a real UH-Mericon!".

which "wide-eyed believer"??

this israeli crap gets crazier everyday.

PM: We may be forced to attack Iran | Iran news | Jerusalem Post:

"You don't want a messianic apocalyptic cult controlling atomic bombs,' Netanyahu said of the Iranian regime. 'When the wide-eyed believer gets hold of the reins of power and the weapons of mass death, then the entire world should start worrying, ...

The Obama presidency has two great missions: fixing the economy, and preventing Iran from gaining nuclear weapons,"

it looks to me like the "messianic apocalyptic cult controlling atomic bombs" and "wide-eyed believer" lines fit netanyahu and israel at least as well as they fit iran. hell, they fit sarah palin voters as well as they fit Iran.

i agree with one of the Obama "great missions", I would like him to fix the economy. as to the other,... i'd like to have universal healthcare, better schools, better roads, our troops out of the middle east, etc. before we spend my tax dollars protecting one "messianic apocalyptic cult" from another.
