US support of the hard-line Israeli government is the worst, the absolute worst, mistake in the US's growing list of foreign policy fuck-ups. It's criminal. If the rest of the major western powers ever turn against US policy we may see US leaders tried for war crimes.
The Israelis are using Gaza as an open air prison.

If any other country on the planet tried to do some of things Israel is doing to Palestine we would be leading the charge for regime change and bombing the hell out of them but with Israel, we just ignore it and help pay for it.
Now that Obama has nothing to lose he should show some balls and stand up to Netanyahu and AIPAC.
Update: even American Jews don't agree with Netanyahu though it doesn't matter because the lobby, which must not reflect the views of most American Jews, owns congress.
