They've been telling me since 1980 that Social Security "will be broke by the time I get there". Well, it ain't and the problems it does have can be fixed pretty easily, basically just raise the Social Security tax limit.

Also, if they start their explanation with "Medicare and Social Security" they are trying to fool you. They are two separate programs. Social Security works and can be fixed easily. Medicare is a mess but can also be fixed, though not as easily.
