anderson, in that last segment you never really seemed to get that Hamas is building and moving among the people of Gaza, not to use them as “human shields” but because they (Hamas) are from the people of Gaza. They are the people of Gaza. The children of an oppressed people. Oppressed not by Hamas but by Israel.
Hamas has grown from the people of Gaza and the West Bank because of Israel’s terrible treatment of the Palestinians over the last 50 years. this current attack by Israel is just creating the next generation “Hamas”, though we may end up knowing it by a different name.
Also, that segment would have been a great time for CNN to remind the American people that Hamas actually won free and fair elections in Gaza and the west Bank a few years ago and did not “sieze” power.
