The people are fucked. We're stuck with a two party system in which both sides are corrupt, ineffective and corporate-owned but very adept at convincing the people that it's the other side's fault. The last three elections have bordered on violence and the next one's not looking any better. With so much power and money at stake, both parties seem willing to do anything to win. Throw in the fact that the people rarely, if ever, get the straight story from the media and I'm afraid we're in for some even uglier politics in the near future.
