Employment Ratio

Ezra Klein:  This graph calls the entire economic recovery into question: "
The population is aging, and the labor force was expected to shrink. But it wasn’t expected to shrink this much."
How much was the labor force expected to shrink?

Maybe the baby boomers are just fed-up and packing it in. Hell, they're in their 60's and have had their 401s raided twice in the last 20 years, lost a lot of wealth in the housing bust while their government bailed out the wealthy folks that caused the whole mess, and lost their crappy jobs at crappy companies that cared more about profits and ceo pay than them,. Now they're looking down the barrel of a healthcare system that will take everything they have left over the next few years. Maybe they're just tired of playing their part in that crappy system and figure they can survive their last few years on what they have left.
