A good article on James McMurtry  Also, a song

HealthCare

Can you imagine if the corporate media explained issues like Mr. Oliver?

Economics

The Cost of Thriving - A pretty good article on how we measure inflation. I'd add that in 1979 more workers were covered by pensions so saving for retirement wasn't a big a hit on take home pay like it can be today. It is harder today.

'A Travesty and a Disgrace': Trump Quietly Issues Memo That Could Abolish Union Rights for 750,000 Federal Workers - Out here in Teabagistan the union folks I know vote R because of the NRA. This might make them think twice.

2020 - Bernie

Bernie Sanders' Nevada win is a breakout moment. The others are toast - The R's must think so too. The last few days my Facebook feed has filled up with anti-Bernie and scary-socialism posts. Most are from conservative propaganda sites favored by my teabagger friends.

AIPAC backing off Bernie? Pro-Israel Super PAC to stop running negative ads against Bernie Sanders

Maybe just changing tactics.  Russiagate 2.0: Russia Is Boosting Bernie Sanders Campaign

This is the best you will get from any American Politician on Israel and the Middle east.
Bernie on Israel: “To be for the Israeli people and to be for peace in the Middle East does not mean that we have to support right wing racist governments that currently exist in Israel.”
It's OK to get the 'muricans wound up about Russia. Not so OK to get them wound up about Israel.

Many are needlessly scared of Bernie.  Sanders Comes To Save Capitalism, Not Destroy It

2020 - Bloomberg and Bernie

This from earlier in the week so a little stale since the crappy debate and Bernie's win but still....

WE DON’T NEED A DEMOCRATIC TRUMP - On Bloomberg.

Well, he wouldn't be as bad as Trump, who is just a dick about everything, but Bloomberg's still an R-lite oligarch who has no feel for the plight of about 80% of Americans and would in almost all cases favor business and donors over that 80%.

Replacing Trump with Bloomberg would be winning the battle but losing the war.

On the plus side, Bloomberg seems to be able to handle Trump on Tumpian, being-a-dick terms, something no D (or R)  has been able to do.   Bloomberg Rips Trump and Trump Backs Down
