In this post, Why is eurozone inflation so high? Tyler Cowan links to this FT article and asks this
1. Why is eurozone services inflation so high, given that the eurozone didn’t do a massive Biden-style stimulus?
The comments read like Fox propagandists throwing out everything they can think of to explain it except for what may be the most obvious reason ...
The "Massive Biden-Style Stimulus" (a lot of which happened under Trump) had very little to do with our current high inflation rates.
If you haven't noticed, there have been a lot of other bad things going on in the world's economies for the last couple of years, rebound from COVID panic/shutdowns, chip shortages, Trumps tariffs, China shutdowns for COVID, shipping issues, energy price increases, crypto bubbles bursting, a coup attempt in the US, the first major war in Europe for a couple generations, etc. That's a lot of turbulence.
So God-Damn it man, resist the urge to blame every bad thing that ever happens to Biden, The Democrats, or big government. Sometimes they are not to blame.
