Warren and Sanders, after all, lost to Biden in 2020.
Well, yes, Warren and Sanders did lose to Biden but only after the D establishment freaked out and 1. kept Warren in the race long enough to split the progressive vote so Biden could survive 2. got the other candidates behind Biden and 3. convinced Warren to endorse Biden late in the race.
The combination of Warren and Sanders together were running neck and neck, often beating Biden. Had it been a fair Biden vs Bernie contest we might have seen a different outcome.
Like it or not the Progressives are a large piece of the Democrats.
