Gaza and Lewiston

With the Lewiston mass shooting joining Israel's bombardment of Gaza on the front page this evening I thought it time to drag out the two common political comments on these issues.

"Israel has a right to defend itself."

and

"Our thoughts and prayers go out..."

Both are just shitty political cover for politicians who don't really want a solution to the issue at hand.

How many times have we heard these over the last twenty years?

How many more times will we have hear them?
