Israel and Gaza

How does blindly supporting the bombing of Gaza help the US in the eyes of the world?

Hundreds of thousands march worldwide against Israeli bombardment of Gaza

People around the world rally to support Gaza as continued Israeli bombing has killed nearly 8,000 Palestinians.

Hamas’s attack on Israel has changed the Middle East

The US regional strategy lays in shambles, as its allies face pressure and its foes seek to take advantage.

We, the US, are really on the wrong side of history this time. I think the world is about fed-up with Israel-Palestine situation as it has existed for the last 50 years.

I see this in the US.  CNN, Fox, and most major media outlets are all-Israel-all-the -time. Social media lets some pro-Gaza/anti-war stuff slip through but even that seems reduced since the first days of the Gaza Bombing. The Internet in general has helped bring the plight of the Palestinians to the US voters but our politicians are still all-Israel-all-the -time.

Still, US views are changing. I've heard more balanced reporting from NPR than ever. Usually NPR is pro-Israel but there has been a lot of more realistic coverage this time.

This actually aired on NPR.
