CNN Opinion: Why Biden supports Israel so wholeheartedly
Both Hamas and Russia are receiving support from Iran. Both Hamas and Russia “want to completely annihilate a neighboring democracy.”
This should include,... "and Israel is in a 50 year process of completely annihilating the Palestinian people."
Biden made that point again last week, at the end of a press conference with the visiting president of Chile. “There comes a time,” he said, “maybe every six to eight generations, where the world changes in a very short time.” That is happening now, he said. “What happens in the next two, three years (is) going to determine what the world looks like for the next five or six decades.”
Biden is right here, now is the chance.
The chance to make the US look like a real force for good in the world by telling Israel "No, the world has had enough". Stop the war. End the brutal occupation. Stop taking Palestinian land and oppressing the people. Be a real democracy by including the Palestinians. Make it work.
Now is the chance.
But, as this headline asks, it's not going to happen.
