This chart is usually interpreted as "things that the government provides have seen higher inflation.
As the post points out, the "Food and beverages" and "Housing" lines are below the "Annual hourly wage" rates so really should be in Blue rather than red.
But what I see is that the shit we've imported over the last 20 years, mostly from China, got cheaper.
