I voted today, the first time I've voted early. It was easy enough but one thing seemed wrong.
After the ballot was filled out I was told to put it in an official looking envelope, write my name and address on the envelope and then sign it.
If I didn't, it would not be counted. The poll workers assured me that when they open the envelope they won't have time to see how I voted.
I argued that point is that someone "could" see how I voted if they wanted to and that violated the law.
Again, they said that's how it is, if I want my vote counted name, address and sign.
How can this be considered a secret ballot?
According to the Indiana Voters Bill of Rights
You have the right to vote:
• privately and independently, in a voting booth that is free from
any unauthorized materials.
This surely is a violation of privacy.
What's the point of voting in little hidden cubicle if I have to put my name on the thing?
What if this guy was in my area?

Anyway, I think it stinks but ... it is Indiana.
