Some thoughts.
Although the number of federal employees has grown recently, it's been relatively flat since 2000 and down from the 90s even though our population has grown from about 280 million to about 330 million
It's also down if you look at it as a percentage of our total population.
Most of the jobs are in things that MAGA claims to care about, veterans and Defense, and agriculture.
