My issue with a wealth tax is that it just complicates the issue. We have a tax system in place that works pretty well. Just raise the top rates and go on.
The D's do this all the time. When a previous department or law isn't getting the job done, instead of cleaning up the mess, firing people, and making it work, they just leave it as it is and add a new layer.
