US vetoes Arab-backed UN resolution demanding ceasefire in Gaza

Everyone in the world is for a ceasefire but like an oblivious parent bailing-out their fuck-up teenager for the 100th time we veto anything that even hints at reining-in Israel's genocide.
The administration is in a pickle. In an election year, any move against Israel would be political suicide. The evangelicals and the right would wail. The media would hammer them. AIPAC money would instantly switch to Trump and the Republicans. The American people would end up with another Trump administration who would be even more pro-Israel.
This is a critical election. Netanyahu knows it and is driving it home.
Biden and the Ds know it so are playing along.
I'm sure they think they are saving us from the second coming of Trump but the hit to our world image by allowing this genocide could be worse.
This is what you get when for decades you let the media create a false image of a problem while you just take the money and ignore the real world situation. There is a point where you can't make a move and the whole phony image comes tumbling down.
It's time for a change. Time to break free of the Pro-Israeli hold on our politics.
Show some balls. Side with the world against genocide. Tell Netanyahu to shove it.
Come clean and sell the change to the sane voters as the right thing to do.
Break the pro-Israeli hold so we can get back to being a legitimate force for good in the world.
